As your Puppy, I love you more than anything, but please understand these things about me:
I have the same intelligence and learning ability as an 8-month-old baby.
I explore and learn by chewing everything, so please teach me what is mine and what is not.
I can only hold my pee for 1 – 2 hours and I can’t tell you when I need to poop.
I need to go potty after eating, sleeping, playing, drinking and every 2 – 3 hours.
If you want me to sleep at night, don’t give me water after 7 or 8 p.m.
A crate will help me learn to housebreak faster and avoid your anger.
Please don’t yell, hit, kick or beat me. I am fragile and impressionable. Treat me with kindness and patience.
I like to play and chase things. It’s fun for me and not meant to hurt you.
I am your Puppy and I love you so much. But you need to know some things about me. I am a Puppy and I am like an 8-month-old child. I learn by chewing everything. You have to show me what I can chew and what I can’t.
I am a Puppy and I can’t hold my pee for long. I also can’t tell you when I need to poop. It just comes out. You have to take me out often. After I eat, sleep, play or drink. And every 2 – 3 hours too. Don’t give me water at night if you want me to sleep. A crate will help me learn not to make a mess.
I am a Puppy and I don’t like being hurt. Please don’t yell, hit, kick or beat me. It makes me scared and sad. Be nice and gentle with me. If I do something wrong, tell me “No” and give me something right.
I am a Puppy and I love to play. I chase things that move. Your feet, your toes, imaginary monsters, fuzzballs. It’s not to hurt you. It’s just fun for me.
